sencho Posted September 14, 2007 Report Posted September 14, 2007 Wandered into a used bookstore today in Tokyo and picked up this massive volume "Token Oshigata Taikan" for less than 50 bucks U.S. Couldn`t see it on Satcho so I was wondering if I got a good deal...?? (I reckon I must have...) The book is immaculate with all original dust cover plastic cover and insert tags (complete with pressed flowers)... Anyone know the value of this book?? My library now officially is more valuable than my sword collection!!! Cheers! Quote
Ed Posted September 15, 2007 Report Posted September 15, 2007 I would say you got a good deal. That books sells for approx. $500 - $600. Quote
sencho Posted September 15, 2007 Author Report Posted September 15, 2007 Thanks Ed, Noticed this morning in the back there is a profile of the author.... an appraiser by the name of Inuzuka Tokutaro... Book is about 3.5 inches thick and about 12" by 18"... suede cover and gold embossed lettering.. It has a tag inside it saying that the publishers apologise for a page mistake. In the back it has the book number ... 74 of I don't know how many were printed... even has the blotting paper still in it from where the books were numbered by hand in ink!! Printed and published in 1975.... I it a lovely book... Cheers Quote
