I don't recall one in Asakusa, the one mentioned everywhere seems to only sell replicas: http://katanaya-asakusa.com/foreign_customer.htm

Even having been to Tokyo twice, I do not know where Asakusa is in relation to other suburbs. There is http://www.japansword.co.jp/which may be miles away, and a lot of knife shops in Asakusa such as http://en.japantravel.com/view/kamata-hakensha-knife-shop

Don't know the geography of Tokyo anymore unfortunately.

I think there are a lot of tiny shops few even know about. I even came across one in Ueno in the middle of the Ameyoko market that I have never seen mentioned anywhere.

Brian, you're inviting the wrath of all edokko (a person born and raised in Edo/Tōkyō) - Asakusa is not a suburb, but part of shitamachi, the old Edo!
