raiden Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 This is one of those crossover topics. I just wanted to share a rare and excellent kozuka that I just got in. It is by Honjo Yoshitane, the master carver for the Suishinshi School and often he did Naotanes horimono when an important carving was needed. He is known to make tsuba as well as other fitings, this kozuka shows his skill as a carver , even though he was a swordsmith. Quote

k morita Posted November 7, 2013 Report Posted November 7, 2013 Hi, :D Nice tensyo-style Kanji carving! Maybe as you know,It's says "Like a wind in the air/sky" ( 如 風 於 空 中 ). Maybe, the following kanji characters were carved on a kogai,if his Kogai will be discovered in the future.
Quote
raiden Posted November 7, 2013 Author Report Posted November 7, 2013 I am looking for the kogai! Quote
