Brian Posted February 17, 2013 Report Posted February 17, 2013 There is nothing about this that suggests any army use. It looks like a standard antique wakizashi to me. Maybe brought back after the war, hence the tag. This is a good thing for it, as it will be worth more as a civilian wakizashi than a WW2 sword. Bidders seem to agree, based on the price. I have a feeling I've read that description before, which makes me think the seller determined what it was himself, and then copied and pasted the whole rest of the description from some other auction in the past.
