cisco-san Posted January 16, 2013 Report Posted January 16, 2013 Hello, I found this blade on eBay and for training reason I tried to to translate it (no intention to buy it!!). I am quite confident for the last two Kanji --> Kuni 国 Aki 明 But for the rest I have absolutely no idea X (maybe Ko 小) X (maybe Haru 張 or Nori 徳) X (maybe Tora 虎) Kuni 国 Aki 明 Although I found some Kuniaki, but it seems no this one?! Therefore I am asking for your help. Many thanks in advance Klaus Quote

cabowen Posted January 17, 2013 Report Posted January 17, 2013 You can't find anything because he is obscure. He was a student of Kato Kanekuni of Meguro, Tokyo. Nothing more is known. And thank you for sending me the link to the site.... Quote

cabowen Posted January 18, 2013 Report Posted January 18, 2013 Yes, he may have been a good smith. Or just mediocre since it is doubtful he spent much time with Kanekuni. Quote
