Hi Peter, please be aware of the costs. You will never get back the money, if you sell the sword. I could be easier if you in the USA. I would suggest to only choose a shirasaya, Oli

You can find some information about Fujiwara Takada school in Shinto-shi from Markus Sesko. -
I need your opinion for my Suriage / Wakizashi

i don't think this is a Mei, it looks for me like a Horimono and that this sword was greatly shortened. -
Akihide is more than double of the price of this showato. But yes Gendaito in generell there are a price falling.
-
i mean VAT, sorry
-
Import tax is about 20%. Without this board i wouldn't startet collecting Nihonto, because i can get blades here for a fair price.
-
all European dealers have this pricing. They buy in Japan and USA and sell with double of the price.
-
Don't look like Koto, i would guess Shinto, influenced by Mino. Where are different generations of Kanemichi.
-
it's from a shop: https://kyodaioriginals.nl/shop/

intersting article about Jifu http://www.ksky.ne.jp./~sumie99/jinie.html#JIFU
-
we have one in EU: https://www.japanartfair.com The way is simple, learn, look, observe and then buy
-
I think ebay/cata/yahoo, are not the best way to buy Nihonto.
-
Kanemoto, Mino-mono, Muromachi i guess. O-Suriage and not the best condition. Why do you want to buy via Jauce? Where are a lot of offers from nice blades from members in EU here in the sales section, or make a thread in wanted to buy And the other question is what are you looking for?
-
Also a good reference is Shinto-Shi from Sesko.

The blade seems from Kunishige line from Bitchu. In the text are some hints to Bitchu line: Could be this one, from Sesko: KUNISHIGE (国重), Shōhō (正保, 1644-1648), Bitchū – “Bitchū no Kuni Mizuta-jū Ōtsuki Ichizō Kunishige” (備中国水田住大月市蔵国重), real name Ōtsuki Ichizō (大月市蔵), younger brother of the 5th gen. Kunishige, he signed first with Kuniyoshi (国吉) and received on the 15th day of the twelfth month Shōhō two (1645) the honorary title Yamashiro no Daijō (山城大掾), he also worked in Inoo (猪尾), in Matsuyama Castle (松山城), in Azae, and in Edo, there exist gassaku works with Tameie (為家), after te death of the 5th gen., he raised his own son-in-law to become the successor and 6th gen. of the main line, jō-saku could also be: KUNISHIGE (国重), Jōkyō (貞享, 1684-1688), Bitchū – “Yamashiro no Daijō Minamoto Kunishige” (山城大掾源国重), real name Ōtsuki Denshichirō (大月伝七郎), student of Ichizō Kunishige (市蔵国重), he also worked in Edo and in Tsuyama (津山) in Mimasaka province, itame mixed with mokume, notare, gunome-midare the first one is higher rated.
