  1. Here is a full blade photo, measures to around 21 inches, with the tang coming in at 5.
  2. Had some amazing help with my last blade that I ended up returning, had one more blade come in with no papers that I'd love some advice on. From what I've translated I believe its signed "Bishū Osafune Sukesada" with the other side inscribed with a test cut " Performed at Edo, two body test cut, on a day in the 8th month of Kansei 8". Obviously assuming its gimei, but I mainly bought the blade because of the nice jihada and curvature of the blade. Would love to see if anyone else had a better/different translation or if it had legs to stand on if it COULD be authentic, and if not I'd love to get some opinions on the age/period the blade would be from.
  3. Hello! Looking for a bit of help/guidance on a new wakizashi I've acquired. This came from a Showa22 auction, someone who I have done some research on here and found some iffy information on. I've read that he acid etches his blades to make the hamon pop and a majority of the signed pieces are Gimei. The only reason I won the auction is because of the free returns so its somewhat of a free play. I've been into nihonto for only about 6 months now and have stuck towards buying pieces that all have NBTHK papers for peace of mind. My question for anyone who can help is; Does this signature/date look legitimate and does the kikumon look good, and has this blade specifically been acid etched. The blade is obviously old, and I've checked a few papered examples of the smith and the signatures do seem to match up decently well, but I'd love to get more options. Thanks to anyone who can give their advice, appreciate it greatly.
  4. Hello! Im looking to acquire both a Kabuto and Menpo for display for my collection. Would be OK working a deal on either or, would appreciate them having a certificate but not a deal breaker. I'm based in the USA and have a decently flexible budget, but would prefer to stick to the low mid thousands. Thank you!
  5. Hello! I am currently looking to buy a Tameshigiri Signature Sword. Dark yet interesting history, I am looking to acquire one for my collection. Would need NBTHK papers to verify the signature and inscription of the blade. Budget is 3-10k, would prefer to stay near the bottom of the range but understand these swords are rare so willing to move on price. Thank you to any and all help!
