  1. My Tsuba is from Era: Muromachi ~ Edo period I pay 19% Einfuhrumsatzsteuer but no other duties.
  2. I also from Germany. I bought an old Tsuba in Japan and it was the same way. No Problems with DHL or customs Question to the German guys: What are the correct customs fees? 100 years old = 19% Einfuhrumsatzsteuer Over 250 Years = ??? The question is, of course, how can I prove that the tsuba is more than 250 years old ?!
  3. Very beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing. We have to wait a year for the next show. A long time.......
  4. I was also on the Expo, for first time. I was only present on Friday. One day is far too short to see everything in detail. It was very nice and i learned a lot! The dealers and personal was very friendly and we had a very good time. I am also planning to attend next year. Then for the whole weekend! Also the city Utrecht is wonderful. But the parking spaces are a disaster
  5. I have a ticket for Friday. I don't know if I will be there on Saturday. Maybe.... Doesn't the event start at 1:00 PM? www.japanartfair.com/program/ 13.00 - 17.00 Opening day First look of this years event!
  6. Ah OK, next time I'll do it right. I'm still learning. Thanks!
  7. Hi everyone I am looking for help identifying this iron Tsuba regarding, age, school, style, etc. Any information or resources would be greatly appreciated. Purchased in Kyoto but didn't receive much info about it. No markings 70,8mm x 69,2mm x 5,7mm Or even a copy? Thank you
  8. Shipping from EU. No customs duty for me!
  9. I don't own the sword, I only have the pictures. I would never put the blade (or the whole sword) on a hard surface, such as a tiled floor. I promise. But that doesn't seem to be so important to the current owner. Sorry, but not my mistake. The blade has a small damage.
  10. Hello everyone! I'm a beginner and want to buy my first Gunto. My problem is, I'm not an expert. I've only recently started learning everything about swords. I still have a lot to learn. This Gunto is for sale. Price is 1600,- Euro - Is the price ok? - Does it all fit together, all WW2? - I think the blade is good, but what about the rest? - Should I buy it or is it a bad buy? Many thanks for the help!!! Best regards Thomas
