However, he never gave up on the path of becoming a swordsmith, and with the belief that "a lifetime of study is a lifetime of study," he had an opportunity to study under Magoroku Kaneko "金子孫六" at the age of 50. He was compelled to give up his hope of sword making many years. After having worked in farmer or poultry farming many years, at 47 years age he followed his belief starting to acquire again an official licence of sword artisan to become a scholar under smith Kanako Magoroku KANEMOTO 金子孫六(兼元). After 5 years admission that is stipulated by the Agency of Cultural Affairs, he officially licensed as a traditional Japanese sword artist in Showa 52 (1977) then established his own atelier in Hachiman, Muge-town, Seki ciry, Gifu prefecture. 2. It's a very well made tachi. I visited the kimura family home 14 years ago. They showed me their workshop and their work, and talked a lot about their sword. It was very impressive.
