Jūyō Tōken — Mumei, Attributed to Kanenaga Katana A magnificent Nanbokuchō-period Jūyō katana attributed to Kanenaga, widely regarded as the most accomplished disciple of Osafune Chōgi/Nagayoshi. Measuring an impressive 75.0 cm, this blade retains a remarkably healthy and powerful form despite being ō-suriage. The NBTHK Jūyō Tōken Zufu describes this sword as one of the examples that best exemplifies Kanenaga’s characteristic workmanship, making it a benchmark Sōden-Bizen masterpiece. Touken Takarado - June 2026 Update Hello everyone, We hope you are all doing well! Firstly, we'd like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who visited us at the Japan Art Fair in Utrecht earlier this month. We had a fantastic time, and it was a pleasure meeting so many collectors, enthusiasts, and friends from around the world. Being able to put faces to names, discuss swords in person, and share our passion for Nihontō is always one of the highlights of the year. We'd also like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth, purchased from us, or simply came over for a chat. Your continued support means a great deal to us. Now for the exciting part! Over the coming weeks, we will be steadily updating our website with a wide range of newly acquired inventory, including both Tokubetsu Hozon and Jūyō Tōken from the Koto and Edo periods. Tokubetsu Hozon Token — Mumei (Attributed to Taima) Naginata-Naoshi Wakizashi A late Kamakura to early Nanbokuchō period naginata-naoshi attributed to the Taima school of the Yamato tradition. The blade shows a sharp and elegant sugata with characteristic curvature toward the tip and no yokote. The jigane is a tight itame with areas of nagare, transitioning to masame toward the kissaki, a noted Taima feature (Taima-hada). The hamon is a refined chū-suguha in nie-deki with fine kinsuji and inazuma. Hozon Token — Kishū-jū Naotomo Naginata (Shinshinto Period) This is a substantial Shinshintō-period naginata signed Kishū-jū Naotomo. the blade is of exceptional size, condition, and form. Naginata of this length are extremely uncommon, particularly those made during the Edo period.
