Need Help With Sayagaki Translation
echizento replied to echizento's topic in Translation Assistance
Thanks that's more than I had, Hope you can come up with more information. -
I have been trying for a number of years to translate this sayagaki. The sword that was in it is an old and worn nagamaki naoshi.
-
Beautiful blades, congratulations.
-
I don't think so, I don't see any signs of re-tempering. Anyone having an idea of what smith might have used this style?
-
I see one or two areas where that might apply.
-
Here is a mumei Bizen school wakizashi with and interesting Hamon. IMO it looks like Kobushigata Choji. What do you folks think?
-
Interesting. So you think it looks more like Midare than Notare? . Going to have a closer look in the day light tomorrow.
-
I'm on the fence with the hamon, it does appear Suguba but I also see shallow Notare in areas.
-
I picked this blade several weeks ago, it's in nice polish. Signed: WAKASA (no kami) FUJIWARA UJIFUSA Cutting edge: 21 1/2" Sori: 5/8" Width 1 1/8" Hada: Itame Hamon: appears to be shallow notare I believe this is 2nd generation UJIFUSA 1558-75, UJI18

Thank you.

Received the book today and just started reading it. Thumbing through it it seems to be an interesting book. -
Looks like a very nice blade, I would agree late Koto to early Shinto.
-
I got windows 7 home, tried it anyway and it didn't work as you said it wouldn't.
-
I've been trying the various compatibility modes but I still can't get it to work. It would have been nice to have it again, but at this point I don't know what else to try.
-
That's what I'm hoping for, a fix for either windows 7 or 8.
-
It's a version from 1998 so it must not be compatible.
-
Yeah, it works on XP fine at least it did when I had it. But doesn't work on 7 or 8.
-
A number of years again a computer program came out called TOSHOW, I was going through some of my old discs and found the copy that I had. However it doesn't work with Windows 7 or 8. Is this program still available and if so is there a fix so that it will work with Windows 7 and 8?

Some people have all the luck. Even if it's gemei for $200 it was a steal.
