  1. Tsuba and seppa.
  2. I thank you for this information! Very interesting. what is the fair value of something like this? I would like to sell it here at NMB and do not want to ask too much (or too little ha ha).
  3. Hello all, I was gifted this years ago. I have maintained it in approximately the condition it was given to me in, and really have not done anything to it other than keep it from degrading. Anyone have any input on what I'm looking at here? It was discussed a while back on NMB but I don't believe I came up with a solid answer. Sorry, I am struggling a little bit with the forum upload size.
  4. Still for sale, price dropped significantly to 150. Thank you.
  5. I have for sale a very cool hata, which I erroneously attributed as a sashimono initially. It came from an old kura in Japan along with several other items. I purchased it from another NMB member here. It is in good shape despite the age and seems to have been fairly well preserved in the kura. I was unable to track down this particular mon (the eight sided shape in particular is what eluded me) but as I understand it ivy leaves (the leaf in the middle is certainly an ivy leaf) were well known to be associated with the Matsudaira clan or the Shogunate and their various retainer families. Further discussion on it can be found here: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/19580-sashimono-acquisition/ I am asking $300 via paypal OBO, and price includes shipping and insurance within the continental U.S. Not averse to a partial trade plus cash if you have something I may be interested in? Never hurts to ask. I have no issue shipping it out of country but it may incur a few extra costs for obvious reasons of shipping being more expensive. Please PM me if you have any questions or are interested. Thank you!
  6. Thank you all for the kind compliments and discussion on this blade. It is now sold to another NMB member with payment having been received this afternoon. Once the money has transferred over to my account successfully and the blade has shipped out, I will be making a donation to NMB as promised. Thank you NMB family!
  7. Thank you. I, too, feel this is a good deal. This is getting into "rusted, can't find hamon, in fake WW2 koshirae on ebay" blade prices while being much nicer than those.
  8. Hey my friends, I would like to do one final price drop on this to 700 USD. This price includes shipping and insurance in the continental US. Thank you NMB!
  9. Hello NMB I'd like to price drop this to 750. Thank you!
  10. I'm going to price drop this one to 850 shipped. Thank you NMB.
  11. A donation will be made from the proceeds towards NMB. Thank you!
  12. Email sent with requested photos. Thank you NMB!
  13. Hey Paz! Answered your PM, I'll send you (and anyone else who would like them) measurement photos.
  14. Hello all, for your appreciation and possible purchase is a Naoshi. I have very much enjoyed studying it, and it is time to move it on to someone who would also enjoy it. It has been discussed quite a bit here, where pictures are also available. https://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/topic/27114-naginata-naoshi/#comment-274686 The asking price is 1000 USD or best offer paid via paypal or venmo, with price to include shipping and insurance in the CONUS. It can be shipped internationally for an extra fee. Please PM me with any interest. Thank you and have a great day NMB!

  21. Thank you! It was what drew me to the sword in the first place. That and I have always been a fan of Naminohira due to their unpretentiousness (is that a word? It is now lol) and stark beauty.
  22. Absolutely. Thank you for the suggestion, and the compliment! I hope these are better. You can click on them to bring them up in a new window which can be enlarged.
