hillman Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any opinion on the authenticity of this NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho origami? The origami was issued in 1975 (Showa 50), but it has a photograph of the nakago, and the line of words on the left of the date says "bijutsu nihonto hozon...", which I don't usually see in other NBTHK origami. The red stamps also say the same characters. Any thoughts? Quote
Nobody Posted July 15, 2008 Report Posted July 15, 2008 It is not a paper issued by NBTHK. It is a paper of Bijutsu Nihonto Hozon Shinsakai (美術日本刀ä¿å˜å¯©æŸ»ä¼š). I do not know its reliability. Quote
hillman Posted July 15, 2008 Author Report Posted July 15, 2008 Thank you for the full translation, Moriyama-san. I did a check on Google for this group, and they have an office in Okayama city. Never seen any of their origami before, but they sure make it look like NBTHK green papers! There's something about this group also in this Japanese webpage: http://www.geocities.jp/fake_of_okisato/kotetu2.html I think I'll stay away from this one. Quote
