Lindus Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 After three hours googling ,eyesight shot I find myself asking help again Roy Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Three round stars and the character for one above them is Mouri in the west, (and Nagai) but Watanabe if the one stroke is underneath. If there is no Kanji for one, then think Matsura in Kyushu. Your stars are square, however, so I will hit the books and double-check. Quote
Lindus Posted June 18, 2012 Author Report Posted June 18, 2012 Thanks Piers, arent the Squares Paving stones?. Roy Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted June 18, 2012 Report Posted June 18, 2012 Roy, a) the squares should really be oblongs for Ishi-tatami. b) I couldn't find Mittsu Ishi-datami in conjuction with a single stroke for one. So... :| Possibly they have been squashed down into squares, or turned on their sides? PS My Mon book has a map of Kamon at the end of Edo. Branches of the Nagai family, written 永井 seem to be more representative by then than Watanabe. Quote
