rendylatief Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Hey guys, I've tried to translate the Mei in the attached pic through http://www.jssus.org/nkp/kanji_for_mei.html But being new at this, I've only been able to translate the last character in the mei. And I think its 廣: "Hiro", but I'm still not sure about it as well. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks a lot guys. Rendy Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted November 23, 2011 Report Posted November 23, 2011 Hmmm... not sure how much help you want/need. Inside the spoiler is the name, still in Kanji, which might help you to look it up more easily... 後藤 兼廣 Yes, you are right on the last Kanji! If you get really stuck, we will help again! (Hoping you are not in a hurry) Quote

rendylatief Posted November 24, 2011 Author Report Posted November 24, 2011 Hey David, I'm sorry for the mistyping, I'm new at translating kanji. :D If he is a Seki showato smith, doesn't his blade include a serial number or a stamp of some kind? Because from what I read, he is one of the smith that provides blades for the war isn't he? Because this blade does not have any stamp or serial number, just a mei and a green paint. :? Sorry for the stupid question, but I'm new to all of this Gunto and Showato thing. :? Thanks again. Quote
