Hi,

 

I'm looking for some oshigata's or pictures of mei of Horikawa Kuniyasu.

I need them to figure out if this mei (see pictures) is a genuine Kuniyasu signature.

 

Description:

 

KUNIYASU wakizashi (probably of a daisho pair)

 

SUGATA

Shinogi zukuri

Iori mune

Chu-kissaki

Nagasa 50,2 cm

Sori 1,1 cm

Motohaba 2,9 cm

Sakihaba 2,0 cm

Kasane 0,6 cm

Nakago kasane 0,7 cm

Nakago 14,2cm

Kissaki 3,3 cm

 

JITETSU

Ko-itame, ji-nie, 1 tobiyaki. Beautiful hada.

 

HAMON

Hamon is notare mixed with gunome. Nioiguchi is thick and vivid.

Habuchi is coverd with ko-nie and streaks of sunagashi. Fine kinsuji.

 

BOSHI

Ko-maru with kaeri. Hakikake.

 

NAKAGO

1 mekugi ana

14,2 cm

Mune is ko-maru with gyaku sujikai yasurime

Yasurime is gyaku sujikai

Ha hagiri kurijiri

Mei ‘Kuniyasu’, large character on the shinogi line

OK -- out on a limb and IMHO as a learning experience the two chisel marks inside bottom of kuni are angled differently and the end of the right vertical is missing the tag on the bottom -- Gimei ?

Hi all,

 

Thanks for your opinions. I thought the same. But the sword looks really like a Horikawa and the it's a high class koshirae from Omori Teruhide and Iwamoto Konkan (wakizashi from a daisho pair, still looking for the missing katana).
