raaay Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Hi ray again with more tsuba questions , same sort of questions any body like to sugest school or date etc . as you can see it is a large katana tsuba with grape vines i think ! and bails of straw on the front face and grape vines only on the reverse . are grape vines ? a rare or common theme on sword fittings ! tsuba 80mm x 4 to 3mm thanks ray. Mantis dude Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 I thought it was brass, just making sure. I've found that less light actually gives you a better picture. Of course it is a balance, but what looks dark to the eye, usually comes out better on camera. Don't use your flash, get too much reflection when you do that. Just a few minor suggestions. Quote
