Hello @Kristie,

I'm going to relocate your topic to the "military swords of Japan" section.

What you have is a Japanese Type 95 Gunto made and carried during World War Two. Likely made around 1941-1942.

 

It was inspected by Nagoya Army Arsenal and has the Seki stamp = 関刀劍株式会社, (岐阜県・関町) = Seki Tōken Kabushiki Kaisha.

Value on these is dependent on condition. This variation usually sells for between $750 and $1500.

Hi Kristie, it has some value, Sam is correct on the valuation, the chain hanger i can see attached to it also has some value if its original, they are quite collectible
