Hello all,

 

requesting assistance with translating this Wakizashi. This would have been obtained on Guadalcanal, Tarawa, Saipan, or Tinian by a WWII USMC veteran. The blade has seen better days, but doesn’t look to have any serious damage. Unfortunately the same can’t be said for the rest of it. Thank you, as always
