That is 2 for 2 from Utah! Hope you both have a safe trip!

I’ve been here for 6 days already!

Seen a couple of amazing swords already and excited for much more this weekend!

I was hoping to attend but the German Gov have been dragging their feet processing my Settled Status application, which meant I couldn't travel outside Germany. Oh well 2026 then.....

Everyone have fun and if you happen see that "Shintogo" tanto (#55) on the Ginza Japanese Sword Museum Taibundo stand, please let us know what you think. Do the papers attribute the blade specifically to Shintogo or are they less specific. The dealer has ignored efforts to get more info via email.

Just going through the Catalogue of sellers and visiting their websites to see what they have to offer and came across this beauty by Yoshifusa - OMG - I think I want to cry it is so beautiful. You can see why he is one of the greats!

I have a photo of Eirakudo and Shindendos shop.

Spotted the Hirotsugu Ko-Aoe Tachi in Eirakudo's shop on the top left next to the tissue box. The Norishige Katana next to that in the middle - (would not mind seeing a closer up of this if you have time). The Tachi Sukekane next to that and the  Katana Hankei sitting in the middle on the lowest shelf.

Looks like they brought out some beautiful swords.

Shame the Samurai Gallery does not list any of their swords on their website. Would love the ability to see what they actually had in stock. They appear to have a fine collection of swords.

Shingendo had the following that I remember:

Osafune Motoshige

osafune Chikakage

Norishige

Sairen

Ko Aoe Tsugu(yoshi?) I can’t remember, very slender blade

other standouts from the show were lots of signed Rai tanto, an Awataguchi Yoshimitsu, Ko Hoki signed Yasutsuna, TJ Go, Ko Bizen signed Masatsune, 3rd TJ Yukimitsu daito, and many many others that I can’t name them all.

Thanks, I checked the Sokendo site but couldn’t find a listing. Am I right to assume they don’t list their items on their website?

maybe i’m missing it? if there is a link to it could you please provide it?

thank you!

Also, sorry for the influx of questions was wondering if you happened to know the price of the Yasutsuna, And what levels of papers it had.

one of my favorites so any mention always does drive home interests.

thanks!

It has Juyo papers and a nice koshirae.

Price is unknown. I know a few people who asked and nobody got an answer.

They were very kind to let me see the blade however and study it.

Ye, they do not show their products on their website unfortunately. They have a lovely website just no products.
