Can anyone help me locate an original Tachi Seppa, one of each in the picture or if someone can make them or know a good reproduction but an original is what I would prefer.

Hi Bob, what are they made from? Brass?

2nd one appears to have an border of different metal - section that is decorated? I have made several seppa- mine and for others- 1st is simple but second is more challenging as I would need to know the metals used?

Cheers mate.

They are both copper the second has a serrated edge. Both are approx. 1mm thick

if you would kind enough to duplicate them it would be greatly appreciated I expect to pay

for your service. It is a Tachi with a Shitdom Tsuba and deserves attention.

Bob,

it may not be a "s**t storm" (SHITODOME) TSUBA, but a SHITOGI TACHI TSUBA?

The SEPPA look like ordinary ones with the adapted bend.

Jean,

Sorry about that after a long -

time study of the sword I am still an amateur.

They are ordinary ones with contours.

I assume you will make them.

Mike I got confused with Jean replying to my Seppa needs thinking

she was affiliated with you. I do hope you will make them for me.

They are 1mm thick.

Bob,

in this case, "Jean" is a French male first name. The world is not all American.....:)

Please accept my apology I am pretty much old school and find it

difficult to keep up with the pace of modern times or in any case to

offend anyone.

Hi Bob,

Sorry havent checked back for awhile.

Ive changed my opinion after a second look and I was mistaken on one seppa having an edging added. It appears its the pressure put on the seppa by the tsuka that makes it appear as an add on.

Ill draw up from your specs- transfer inches to mm and send you sketch. Will need more specs later!

Cheers

Mike.

Mike,

be patient. Bob is 91 years old, and that age can make you a bit slower sometimes......

Maybe he does not know how to open PM?
