Fuchi-kashira character interpretation?

Hello all,

Something about this set grabbed me despite not knowing the meaning of the inlayed characters, thought I would post them here in case anyone might have a take on what might be represented here.  One thought was it might be a kao.

 

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Is the stylised script on the Kashira "Fuku" 福- Good fortune?

Thank you very much!  I think you are correct, I can see the resemblance between the typed character and the "brush strokes".

 

Another friend responded off-channel with "blessing" for the kashira and "home" for fuchi.  I will try to find more info and follow up here in case I get any leads and of course watch here for any additional information.
