bahcode Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 Hi i am quite new in collecting swords..just a novice . i tried to decipher this Mei myself but i am at a little bit of a loss. I came up with " Soshu Kanemoto " as my best guess .. the 2nd character is Retsu but also very similar to SHU . the 4th Character puzzles me and i all can find close is MOTO. Need help from more knowledgable people any information would be helpful. I can also post some pictures of the blade . Thanks Quote

bahcode Posted March 2, 2010 Author Report Posted March 2, 2010 is there a possibility that it could be so retsu instead of soshu ? Quote
ottou812 Posted March 2, 2010 Report Posted March 2, 2010 is there a possibility that it could be so retsu instead of soshu ? No. Every kanji has at least 2 readings. In this case, soshu is the correct one. Quote
