It's an obvious fake - mono steel and recently, unskillfully cut mei:

 

山口川子 Yamaguchi Kawako? Kawashi?

 

Poor choice for a gimei, as there are very few smiths called Yama... (山…), and this isn't one of them.

This is a made-up Japanese female name, unless you believe that female swordsmiths exist in Japan.

 

“子”This Japanese character was used as a name only for women of the Japanese royal family in the past. After World War II, civilians could also use it. But only women would use it, and it has a cute meaning. So we can see that many elderly women in the Showa era have similar names.
