Brian Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 The winner of the 2006 tsuba raffle, sponsored by http://www.japanesesword.com is... (drumroll please).. Benoit Desruisseaux who I believe is from Canada. Benoit, congratulations Please contact me with your shipping address and I will arrange with Alf Tan for shipping to you. The winning number, chosen randomly, was 14. I want to send a huge thanks to all who participated. We had a good response, and I will be able to open some of the file limits and upload restrictions, and extend the webspace. I will also be bringing in some improvements. Suggestions on other improvements or additions are very welcome. We have already extended the hosting package for another year with triple the current bandwidth and webspace. Thank you all, and have a great 2007 filled with exciting Nihonto finds. Regards, Brian Quote
BenoitD Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 What a nice suprise. My first tsuba. 2007 is looking like a lucky year. I would like to take this opportunity to intoduce myself a little bit. My name is Benoit Desruisseaux and I have been collecting Japanese swords and armors for about 20 years now. I live in Quebec, Canada (yes, a french canadian). I also have been practicing martial arts (mainly Aikido and Iaido) since 1984. It was my iaido training that got me interested in the Japanese sword at first. I have been at it since then. I do not know much about tsubas but perhaps I will get interested now ? Another bank account for this one .... Well, thank you very much to Brian Robinson and the guys at japanesesword.com for this great opportunity. A happy new year with health, love, happyness and a lot of Japanese stuff ... Benoit Quote
