Fusilier Posted July 15, 2024 Report Posted July 15, 2024 G'day Guys, I was hoping that someone may know something about what I believe is a family 'mon' embossed onto the hilt of this fairly ordinary Parade Sabre I recently purchased with the intention of listing. I realise it's a bit of a long shot, but nevertheless felt it was probably worth asking the question. Cheers David 1 Quote
Conway S Posted July 15, 2024 Report Posted July 15, 2024 There's a thread for mon identification here: Quote
Fusilier Posted July 15, 2024 Author Report Posted July 15, 2024 I've found this family mon belonging to the Li Clan. Any thoughts? Quote

Bugyotsuji Posted July 16, 2024 Report Posted July 16, 2024 The one in question has no circle around it. 橘、薬師寺、小寺、武重、小倉、瀬戸、小野、米倉、赤井、井伊、貫名など The Tachibana family used this Tachibana flower mon; among other families using it in variations were Yakushiji, Kodera, etc., including the famous 井伊 ‘i i’ that is so hard to write in Roman letters. https://irohakamon.com/kamon/tachibana/ 3 Quote
