Chriso Posted May 10, 2024 Report Posted May 10, 2024 Hi all from Canberra Au. I am in a position at my age that I need to sell off my small collection of Swords and Tuba. Unfortunately the family are not interested and I would simply like to sell for the prices that I originally paid, that's another story though. I have two Shingunto one in original war fittings and the other in civilian. I'm posting pictures of the Oshigata and the information that may or may not be correct. I would be very grateful for any information regarding this Katana, as I would like to have my facts correct before offering them for sale. Regards and very best Chris I will post the second Shingunto separately 1 Quote
Chriso Posted May 10, 2024 Author Report Posted May 10, 2024 Thanks Mal, much appreciated Chris Quote
Bruce Pennington Posted May 10, 2024 Report Posted May 10, 2024 One small correction, Chris. The stamp at the top is the Showa not Seki. Shouldn't change anything else about your blade, but it does put the probable age of the blade a bit earlier than if it was a Seki stamp. Quote
Chriso Posted May 10, 2024 Author Report Posted May 10, 2024 Cheers Bruce, many thanks for that.......I should have known. Chris 1 Quote
