Recent find…..just a nice very softly cast bronze monkey admiring his stolen persimmon. Signed Shuzan, a known (but not famous) late Meiji and Taisho sculptor. About 8”. Original patina.

SHUZAN (秀山) is a name associated with Japanese bronze figures, OKIMONO, and NETSUKE often dating from the late MEIJI period (1868–1912) into the early 20th century
