Shirasaya makers based on the UK

Hello everyone

 

i was wondering does anyone has any suggestions for shirasaya makers in the UK because I don’t really want to send my sword out of the country because of our weird laws. 
 

I see people recommending someone called Mike Hickman Smith and I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with him, pictures would be greatly appreciated. I also seem to be having a hard time contacting him so does anyone have any contact details?

Mike has done a few jobs for me including shirasaya

Currently he is making me a saya for a naginata and tidying up the pole

Mike has done a great deal of work for members of our society, me included, I think his skill and quality are exceptional. If you pm me I will send you his contact details. However be aware that he is up to his ears with a house project at present so his lead times may extend a bit.

thatd completely fine, I’ve manage to get his email from someone else and I will probably need a bit of time to get the sword ready anyway so I don’t that that will be a problem
