tsuba deer & doe pattern

Hello,

 

Here is a wakazashi sukashi tsuba.

It is in iron and showing a deer and a doe pattern. It lost it panita.

Mimi is round.

 

Diameter : 6,8 cm

 

 

 

 

It was told to me it could be bushu. Does someone have you an idea about the school ?

Dear Gunome,

 

I am not sure of the school of the tsuba but the design looks interesting thanks for sharing. The patina on the tsuba looks like it is in really bad condition. Did you get the tsuba in that condition? I have heard of people fixing patina on altered and damage tsuba but I have never seen any and I am not sure if it works.

Yes patina is very damaged. I buy it in that condition 2 years ago. I didn't try to create a new patina, I don't want to damage more this one.

It was told to me this tsuba has characteristics of several schools and no truly distinct feature to assign to a particular school.

But may be the marks shaped triangle on seppa dai would speak to specialists ?

 

I am interested in the sword (blade) and I have very little knowledge about the tsuba
