Nobody Posted April 14, 2009 Report Posted April 14, 2009 The mei looks 牡甫, though I do not know its reading (Boho, O-ho???). It resembles 杜甫 ( Toho: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du_Fu ), and I suspect that it might be a parody at first. The inscription on the kozuka is the first half of a poem by Li Po. The Cataract in view, by Li Po The Sun burns Mount Lu in purple haze. The torrent leaps headlong to my amaze. The cataract is three thousands feet tall. As though the sky let the Galaxy fall. Quote
Ludolf Richter Posted April 14, 2009 Author Report Posted April 14, 2009 Thank You very much Nobody! From the quality it is probably the work of an artist known with other Go.I have a lot of books,Japanese and Non-Japanese,about Tosogu and a private database with more than 4.000 pics of Mei/Kao/seals:nothing to be found!Ludolf Quote
