Ronin 47 Posted March 24, 2022 Report Posted March 24, 2022 Nothing groundbreaking, but I thought it was a nice 30 minute watch. Thought others might enjoy it as well so here is the link: https://aeon.co/videos/a-rare-glimpse-inside-a-samurai-sword-workshop-where-ritual-meets-mastery Sincerely, Austin 4 Quote

Ronin 47 Posted March 30, 2022 Author Report Posted March 30, 2022 Thanks Paz! Nihonto no Bi is great! I hope they put out some new ones soon. Sincerely, Austin Quote
Gakusee Posted March 31, 2022 Report Posted March 31, 2022 Austin, thanks, very well shot film and even though it is quite old, I like the angles, shots, etc. There are some inaccuracies (a sword does not take "many months or sometimes years" to make), but the depictions are beautiful otherwise. And Hisashi's own travelogues around Japan and interviews with his colleagues or his clients are also extremely insightful. 1 Quote
WillFalstaff Posted March 31, 2022 Report Posted March 31, 2022 I love those cheap, latex half-bald samurai wigs! 1 Quote
