OK show the Tanto blade and some decent images of the koshirae. But you will need to do this in the nihonto section as a new post. Then ask your questions about the blades quality.

Do the same in tosogu for the koshirae.

You will get some opinions hopefully .

Assuming it's Gotō and a Tokugawa piece is going to need provenance or thorough research.

The koshirae if period is pointing towards very high quality if its got the right level of detail. Is any of the koshirae signed?

Hey Adam I will share the tanto soon and more pictures soon I'm just researching the piece for now because I plan to buy it. First need to know what it is though. When it's in my possession I will share pictures of the tanto and better pictures of the koshirae. I think that the koshirae is high quality because it's made really well and I didn't see any signutures on the koshirae when I had it in my hands.

From the limited details it looks like a decent Shinshinto sword. Could be a good maker. Kogarasu maru shape with naginata hi.

Tom, what are you looking at? I've seen no images of blades.
