rantoulpawn Posted February 15, 2019 Report Posted February 15, 2019 I have had this wak for 20 years or better, and wonder if it deserves to be polished. I would appreciate identifying the maker. I have attached two pictures. Thank you for any information you can share. Pat Quote
rantoulpawn Posted February 15, 2019 Author Report Posted February 15, 2019 I apologize for the mei orientation, it was correct when I checked it, but turned when it was attached. Quote
Peter Bleed Posted February 16, 2019 Report Posted February 16, 2019 It seems to be impolite to give a signature translation too quickly, but Pat, you CAN read this signature - especially if you've owned it for 20years, The smith's name is down there (or over there) at the end. First name character is, tahhh dahh... TADA. And IMHO. it looks both worthy of a bit of head scratching and polish. Peter Quote
uwe Posted February 16, 2019 Report Posted February 16, 2019 Yep, and to figure out the first two kanji, look for a renowned province..... Quote
rantoulpawn Posted February 17, 2019 Author Report Posted February 17, 2019 Thank you Peter & Uwe, what throws me the most is multiple uses of the same kanji. Means this except when, its the accept when you are helping me get used to. Having said that, Yamato No Kami Fujiwara Tadayuki. It appears to be Tad 320. Thanks again, Pat There is a 05 April 2014 that matches this Quote
