Or maybe the poems of the Manyoshu, more courtly perhaps. The views as depicted in fan frames feels relatively lete Edo period and I'd suggest by the overall style and shape of the tsuba, elongated mokko, and the subject matter, that we may be looking at Nara school influence. 4 Quote
