Blazeaglory Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 Hello again. I was wondering if anyone can translate or know any history of the #16 family crest? Thanks Dwain https://pin.it/lqp24srjevypjs Quote
Baka Gaijin Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 Hi Dwain It reads: Maru ni Ken Hanabishi Quote
Blazeaglory Posted September 9, 2018 Author Report Posted September 9, 2018 Thanks! Is that a family name or actual person? I'm researching now. Maybe Katsu family? Quote
Baka Gaijin Posted September 9, 2018 Report Posted September 9, 2018 No Dwain that's just the physical description. Maru ni - Contained within a circle Ken - Sword or swords Hanabishi - Flower petals in a lozenge form You will find it difficult to pin it down, unless it's one of the famous families: https://www.samurai-archives.com/crest1.html Quote

Yes I'm learning I think I have narrowed it down to the Katsu family crest. In the samurai revolution it lists (Rintaro) Katsu Kaishu wearing this exact Mon and also I have found his standard flag with exact same symbol. So I guess he is somewhat of a high ranking official/family? Quote
