I am still in the hunt for a Katana. Maybe there is a thread somewhere already, or this might be the wrong spot for this. But, I am asking for member recommendations for reputable and respectable sites to expand my catalog.

I am assuming you know the best known/respected sites and members. It may help you to get feedback to be a bit more specific. Particular era katana you would like? Price range? You may get more input with more to go on.

There are a few members that I am aware of from observation, but have never personaly dealt with. I am not real particular with the period... but Edo seems to have my attention lately. For sites, not so much, Aoi-Art is who I have dealt with so far.

Many sword dealers are listed here http://www.japaneseswordindex.com/sites2.htm , and once you locate a dealer and/or sword of interest come back and ask for recommendations. 

 

Attending sword shows is an excellent way to meet both dealers and collectors selling swords.
