Dear NMB Members:

I am trying to translate a mei on a showato sword owned by a friend, and I am having a difficult time with it. Can anyone translate this for me? I think I see maybe Tomo, Toshi, ko, saku. I appreciate the help.

Regards,

Bill E. Sheehan (Yoshimichi)

Hi Bill,

I think it reads "Seki Komori Hirotoshi saku "

From Markus book:

HIROTOSHI (広利), Shōwa (昭和, 1926-1989), Gifu – “Hirotoshi” (広利), real name Komori Hirotoshi (小森広利), born April 5th 1925, he worked as a guntō smith, ryōkō no retsu (Akihide)

Dear Klaus:

Thanks so much for the help on the translation. I was striking out in my attempts. I think I need to get the Markus book you referenced. What is the title?

Regards,
