Shinano Posted January 20, 2018 Report Posted January 20, 2018 Hello everybody, Please, can someone help me to translate this Mei on this Gunto ? There is also a Kanji which looks like "Mon" on the top of the Mei, i think... Quote
Bazza Posted January 20, 2018 Report Posted January 20, 2018 Hello Jean-François, The mei is I think NOSHUU JUU YOSHIMITSU SAKU. The "mon-looking" character is a kokuin (stamp) for SEKI arsenal. i.e., guntou. The date is SHOUWA JUU SHICHI NEN = 1942. And a gentle note for all the good souls seeking information on this Forum it would help if you presented your photos as follows. It is far easier to learn how to do this than it is to learn Japanese kanji, believe me. BaZZa. 1 Quote
Shinano Posted January 20, 2018 Author Report Posted January 20, 2018 Hello Bazza, Thank you very much for your fast answer. I am sorry for the photo. In fact, I desperately tried to change it, but my PC always comes back to the initial picture. Merci beaucoup ! Quote
