sabi Posted January 3, 2018 Report Share Posted January 3, 2018 Good day all, Picked this up on an impulse but it's a bit bigger than I was expecting, and sadly I really don't have any room for it! Offering it up here first, there's been good activity in the "other arts" section and perhaps this will find a good home among the NMB. Measures just over 7" long, gorgeous and classic bizen colors on display; primarily burgundy/maroon body with flashes of blue, grey, bronze along with some nice goma speckled throughout. Very nice carving with a convincing expression and pose. I'm not sure of the age but it's got a bit of patina to it, I suspect it's at least vintage if not antique. Asking $65 shipped to the USA, will ship internationally at the buyers expense, but shouldn't be too crazy - figure somewhere in the $20 area.
