Henry Wilson Posted October 9, 2006 Report Posted October 9, 2006 Hi Bobby Your sword is very nice but I am sorry to say that it is not a Japanese sword and I think it is a fantasy sword. There is no design of a Japanese sword were the blade bends. The writing on the blade in the bottom picture is not Japanese too.

I am pretty sure it is a Thai or Bhurmese Dha. You can search the net for more info on the dha. I don't think you will get more info here...since we only do Japanese swords, and this is definitely not Japanese. You can also post here: http://www.swordforum.com/ They have forums dedicated to swords like this. I still do not believe it is very old at all due to the condition and look of the decoration.
