Guest kaien Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 is there any way to get a list of current smiths in Japan? I only know of one or two places that one can order a new blade from, however, I don't know who the smith is that they use. I just wanted to try and find out what options I have for commissioning a blade. When I search online I only come up with lists of smiths in the past and when it lists modern smiths it means modern as in 50 years ago to a hundred years ago or there abouts. Quote
huntershooter Posted February 15, 2008 Report Posted February 15, 2008 Membership List of All Japan Swordsmith Assoc.:" http://www.tousyoukai.jp/english/member_e.shtml" Hope this works for you. If it doesn't and no one else can provide link PM me. I DO know how a fax operates. Quote
Guest kaien Posted February 16, 2008 Report Posted February 16, 2008 very cool, much appreciated. I will check it out. As for a fax, I have to see if it will work for me. I have VOIP and I know we have to pay extra for a fax line but that may just be for a 2nd dedicated line and t's cheaper because it wont be used for voice. so it may work on my main line. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!! *** I never knew that a smith had a designated smith name other then their real name. What is the significance of the smith name? How is it chosen or given? Quote
