Translation Assistance - Amahide ?

Hi All,

 

Just after some help with this one.

 

Looks like Amahide ? Kore, not sure on the 3rd character.

 

I also can't find a match on the factory amahide signatures you usually see. Any ideas?

 

[Edit - think I figured it out 大秀造之 - Amahide Tsukuru Kore, though cant find a match]

 

Not sure what the inscription is on the other side of the nakago either. Not after a full translation but an idea of what that may be as well.

Any ideas which Amahide this may be ? Related to the seki factory or earlier?

Don't know if you got the other side or not, but this is what it is

於八幡宮社前切試ｼ並ﾆ武運長久祈ﾙ

 

Tested and consecrated for good luck in battle at Hachimangu shrine 

 

Also, note that you want to be looking for 天秀, and not 大秀 as you have above.

I couldn't find a match on the Showa smith mei though the 天 and 秀 Kanji look similar to this example of the ShinShinto period Amihide.

 

Do you have any other examples for comparison?

i think yours is the shinshinto smith with cool made for at shrine   ...very nice
