Moley Posted June 9, 2016 Report Posted June 9, 2016 Hi everybody, Looking for some help/advice here. New Gold is so shiny and looks like"bling". I have done a tiny restoration with it and now wish to darken it a bit so that it's not so obvious. Any ideas what I could use / (It's only a very small piece so I wouldn't want to do a lot.) Thanks Gwyn Quote

Johnny Barracuda Posted June 10, 2016 Report Posted June 10, 2016 Solid gold is shiny and inalterable by definition. I you want to avoid reading the over-technical unpalatable other topic, try model weathering: light brown washes that can be obtained from model shops including Games Workshop. Another solution is light brown shoe polish. Both work great for model making. Quote
