OnTime2Day Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 This is the 2nd of 2 blades brought back by my grandfather from ww2. In beautiful shape. Hamon looks Ko Choji Midare. Blade is hand crafted gendaito in my opinion, not pressed. Looks like one side reads: Showa 18 year (1943) August. Correct? Star stamp is present on other side. Having a tough time translating the signature.... Thank you Quote

I really appreciate the feedback. Not sure these WW2 blades are of much value, but the historical significance and the fact that my Grandfather took such good care of it for 70 years offers come coolness. It sure seems to be a very good quality sword. Any other feedback anyone may have would be very welcome. Quote
jason_mazzy Posted December 24, 2014 Report Posted December 24, 2014 I would be happy to own it. glad your father took care of it. Quote
