Erevis Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 Hi, A moderator on my "home" forum suggested that I contact this community for assistance in learning more about a sword that I acquired about 25 years ago. I am-- by no means-- knowledgeable in this area. I can only say that it was sold to me as a nineteenth century blade. I was too young/inexperienced to ask the right questions. I realize that the blade is not in ideal condition, but I assure you that this was the condition that it came to me in. I haven't done anything to the blade in the time that I've possessed it. I would appreciate any information you can provide me as well as a possible value range. Thank you in advance! -- John Warren Quote

Erevis Posted November 30, 2014 Author Report Posted November 30, 2014 Thank you for the information. Just based on what you have provided-- along with quick search of this forum, I have a lot more information than before. I suppose my post should be moved to the "Military Swords of Japan" section. cabowen Posted November 30, 2014 Report Posted November 30, 2014 The blade is mounted in iai fittings that have been adapted for military use....Blade appears to be typical mass produced, non-traditionally made. Quote
