peterd Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Hi does anybody recognize this mei will add more photos after polish many thanks pete Quote
Jean Posted October 20, 2014 Report Posted October 20, 2014 Picture does not help to identify the mei. Niji mei does not indicate a sue Bizen masterpiece nor one of the great masters of Tadamitsu lineage (if it is Tadamitsu) furthermore the hamon is not the one for which Tadamitsu is famous (suguha with an enlarging boshi), so always if shoshin Tadamitsu, odds are for kodai. Robert Janssen Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 last one does look like mitsu, to me anyway... Quote
Jean Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Sorry Bob, but can't read it, I see that our specialists have not issued any post so... Perhaps unreadable. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Here is a better image for the experts : Quote
Jean Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Does not help H-K, the reading problem does not come from the pictures but from what remains of the kanji. Even the second kanji looks like "mitsu" but clumsy.. Quote
cabowen Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 looks like Tadamitsu to me.....lots of them though... Quote
Jean Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 So as stated above, kodai Tadamitsu... Quote

Jean Posted October 21, 2014 Report Posted October 21, 2014 Yes, it is signed Tadamitsu :D . Later generation, sue Bizen (late Muromachi). Quote
