Stephen Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 This was hovering at 30-40$ for days then took off, important gunto tachi?? ended at 330+ Quote
Soshin Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Hi Stephen, Some people in Japan like the USA have too much free time on their hands. P.S. There's a sucker born everyday on eBay. Quote
Stephen Posted September 19, 2014 Author Report Posted September 19, 2014 I thought it would be nice for rebuilding a gunto type tachi ...not for 355! http://www.ebay.com/itm/D3806-rfFk-Japa ... true&rt=nc Quote
Soshin Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Hi Stephen, I would just go to a antique gun show and pick up a normal Kai-Gunto tsuba. You can sometimes find real ones on eBay as well at a fair price. With the current tsuba it's hard to tell what it is with all that thick electroplated gold on it which was worn thin on the seppa-dai. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Hahahaha Stephen, I was watching the same thing with amazement, especially when it took off. I am still not sure what made people go berserk.......... KM Quote
Soshin Posted September 19, 2014 Report Posted September 19, 2014 Hi KM, I have noticed from this Japanese seller that cross sells on Yahoo Japan has sold a number of "gold" sword fittings lately mostly reproduction menuki. Refer to my first reply above for the answer to your question. Quote
kusunokimasahige Posted September 20, 2014 Report Posted September 20, 2014 To be honest, this one reminded me of the Joy Joy Gold series of Doyusha..... Quote
