SwordGuyJoe Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Since I can't read Japanese and google translate refuses to do it's usually quite forgettable job, what is this? Obviously, I see the "法光院", but is this the temple or...? Quote
cabowen Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Yes- Hokoin is a place, not a person....there are several in Japan but with Sakai's link to Shizuoka, I would bet this is the one.... There were 3 Sakai swords put through the shinsa. One was exceptional; the shinsa team said it would pass Yushu shinsa. By the way, it is Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa, not Kasama.... Congrats! Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 By the way, it is Sakai Ikkansai Shigemasa, not Kasama.... Congrats! Yeah - I know. I guess I was just a bit giddy. Sorry but glad you knew what I was talking about. Quote
Brian Posted March 8, 2014 Report Posted March 8, 2014 Beautifu sword Joe! So are you slipping from Gendaito to Shinsakuto? I really love those dragonflies on the kashira...so delicate. This sword is a keeper. Brian Quote
SwordGuyJoe Posted March 8, 2014 Author Report Posted March 8, 2014 Thanks Brian. I'm Not really slipping - just focusing on Kasama den. Quote
