I've got a tsuba that, I was told, has a thin layer of lead on the surface. Was it a common technique? Who made it? The photo of the signature attached.

More pics please. Your tsuba is signed Hazama 間 and is noted for the use of sahari in the zogan. Sahari is an alloy of copper (87%) and tin (9%), with small amounts of zinc, lead, and silver. Is that what is refered to here? John
